This is the time of year we don't think much of avalanche danger, but the danger is out there. Please check the Payette Avalanche Center link before going out if you may be playing or crossing though potential avalanche areas. To report avalanche incidents that you observe call 208-634-0465 or 208-315-2988. We need to work together to stay safe. It doesn't take deep snow to trigger an avalance. A lot of times we are the trigger. Learn before your go and stay safe.
Can't figure out the locations? Not all of the areas being reported are in the McCall area. I will try to do a better job of identifying where the trails mentioned are. Road numbers and location names correspond to the road numbers on the Forest Service maps. You can purchase maps from the Payette (208)634-0400 and Cascade (208)382-7400 Forest Service offices.
