Upper Elevation (Titus) Parking Lot Beacon Basin is up and running behind the restrooms. You will also find a Beacon Basin at the Francis Wallace Parking Lot

Burgdorf Hot Springs (208-636-3036) is open 7 days a week 10 AM-8 PM. They have gas for snowmobilers and will be have food available again this season. Bear Creek Lodge has food and fuel. Pine Ridge will also be open this season. Yellow Pine is open for business but they will be plowing the Johnson Creek Road for a while yet. See below.

The Payette has made the Special Order regarding opening Hitt Mountain and Squaw Point official. You can access maps of the Granite Mountain closure and Over Snow Motorized Vehicle Use Map at 2011-2012 Winter Travel Special Order The Granite Mountain closure is in effect now until March 30th.

The groomer report cut off very early last night. You may find more has been groomed than is being reported. The Avalanche Advisory reports 40-60 inch slabs of new snow making slide prone areas very dangerous. Please read the report before you go even if you aren't planning on attacking 30 - 40 degree slopes.

There will be a Crab Feed in Warren March 3.

The Winter Inn in Warren is the Baum Shelter once again. They were open on weekends this summer but have closed for the season unless someone comes forward that wants to lease and run the restaurant/bar.

We are still looking for a buyer for the Secesh Stage Stop. The price has been reduced to $105,000 and includes restraunt/bar and the cabin on the 5.2 acres.

March 3: Warren Crab Feed - Noon: Radar Races, 2 PM Crab or Prime Rib $20. Cash or checks only. No other food will be available. Fuel available at Burgdorf Hot Springs.

March 2-4: ISSA Annual State Ride - Island Park.

Can't figure out the locations? Not all of the areas being reported are in the McCall area. I will try to do a better job of identifying where the trails mentioned are. Road numbers and location names correspond to the road numbers on the Forest Service maps. You can purchase maps from the Payette (208)634-0400 and Cascade (208)382-7400 Forest Service offices.
